Antigua Bars: Reilly's Irish Tavern
Nightlife in Antigua revolves around bars like Reilly’s Irish Tavern, where they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all year ’ round. Reilly's, is one of Antigua’s top places to party, day or night.

In Gaelic, the ancient language of Ireland, Reilly’s must mean “boisterous.” Because this is Antigua’s most highly spirited bar, an energetic hangout for locals, frequent visitors and first-timers in Antigua.
The decor, with Celtic art and symbolism and slogans on almost every wall, takes me back to authentic pubs like the Lion’s Head in New York City back in the day. Bars, nightlife, live bands and music like this nightclub are getting harder to find these days.

Reilly’s is an honest to God Irish tavern—a serious drinking bar. The place in Antigua to get smashed, plastered, blasted, ripped, wasted, or eight miles high on high class hooch.
So when you are ready to party, make Reilly’s Irish Tavern the number one item on your “things to do and places to drink today” list. It is high on my list whenever I hit town to reflect upon recent drunken rampages at the lake and various stops in Chimaltenango on the way to Antigua.
A Bar Full of the Best Booze
Two rooms are dominated by long bars backed with a formidable array of liquor and beers (also on tap) from around the world. Naturally, Guinness beer and several Irish whiskies are to be found. Serious Scotch drinkers will appreciate brands like Glenlivet and Johnny Walker Green Label.
Music is loud and non-stop, so you often feel more like you’re at a party than in a bar. If it’s a quiet conversation you want, look for the nearest library.
Dining at Reilly’s
When you’ve drank enough to work up an appetite, you’ll find plenty of snacks, appetizers, sandwiches and meals on the menu. Nachos, onion rings and mozzarella sticks, the triple-decker BLT, burgers—there’s something to go with whatever you’re drinking.
Main courses such as Irish Stew and Shepherd’s Pie are more in line with the Irish theme. Danish Meatloaf is another dish from “over there.” Also on the menu are curries, pastas and other big meals.
